The Drop Box - a loving cradle for unwanted babies

Once in a while someone makes an indelible mark on people's lives. Such heroes can touch our own hearts even if we've only heard about them. One such person is Pastor Lee Jong-rak from Seoul, South Korea. Compelled to help abandonned babies, many of them disabled, this ordinary pastor is inspiring people around the world with how much love he shows the "least of these."

"They're not the unnecessary ones in the world," Pastor Lee says. "God sent them here for a purpose."

The babies' first purpose might be melting our hearts, which can become hardened to needs that seem too big for us to tackle. That's why it is so moving when someone does - not an organisation, or rich foundation, or government, but a person who welcomes twenty babies into his own modest home. Equally inspiring is how this pastor found his own purpose by doing something both heroic, and very ordinary - taking care of a baby.

The Drop Box film shows what a difference he is making. At the time of writing (March 3, 2015), the only dates it is playing in theatres across Canada are this week and next. The recipient of 14 awards, this may be the 2015 award film you don't want to miss.
